uplinklab is a personal, non-commercial project built by one person as a learning exercise — not a company, and not a registered financial or data business. This page explains, plainly, what happens to your data if you use it.
What's collected
- If you sign in with Google, we store your email address — that's the only way to know which linked account is yours.
- If you choose to link your own Trading 212 or Alpaca account, we store your API key ID and secret, encrypted at rest (Fernet/AES) with a key kept separately from the database. They're decrypted only in memory, only at the moment we make a read-only call to show your own account summary.
What we never do
- We never request write or trading permissions on any linked account — read-only access only, always.
- We never place orders, move funds, or change account settings on your behalf.
- We never sell, share, or use your data for anything beyond showing your own summary back to you.
Removing your data
Email prasunpd21@gmail.com and your linked account row will be deleted immediately.
